This summer I am Volunteering with the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, at Fort Dummer State Park. It is a park with 50 tent/RV sites and 10 lean-to’s. All of the sites are neat and clean, none have hookups and generator hours are very restricted. There is a sanitary dump station and fresh water on site. It is close to Brattleboro, VT, Hinsdale, NH (for cheaper gas and Walmart) and one of the best ‘country’ stores serving breakfast, lunch, baked goods and local treats, the Guilford Country Store close by in Guilford, VT.

The pups are welcome guests and love walking the trails and the roadways, supervising the humans and other pups. We have a great crew working at Ft. Dummer. In July we had a potluck staff meeting. Food was great, park jeopardy was fun and for those who get paid, a couple hours of paid time was sweet. All of the other crew members are hires. I am the only volunteer and when she is here, my partner KrisP helps where she can. Mostly in the gardening and wood stacking arenas.
